Our church was started by our founder Eddie Duracka in April 1959. Eddie Duracka had a burden for the people of Clearing and Garfield Ridge neighborhoods. With a few dollars for the first month’s rent at the Yugoslav hall, Eddie asked God to continue to provide for the church. God provided and blessed with many more people saved and added to the church. So much so, that they built the building that stands on Narragansett and 55th st in Garfield Ridge neighborhood.
God continues to provide for GRBC, even though our founding Pastor has gone on to be with the Lord in 1990. We have continued to reach Garfield Ridge and the surrounding communities for Jesus Christ.
Pastor Harold Teesdale is the current senior Pastor at GRBC. Pastor Frank Teesdale, Pastor Harold’s father, pastored GRBC for 12 years and retired in 2019. Pastor Harold has taken up the torch and is carrying on the work that Eddie Duracka started all those years ago.
